The English Premier League match between Liverpool and Arsenal is arguably going to be the most-enthralling match since the season 2019-20 began and social media is proving this.
Stakes have risen high despite the blatant fact that Liverpool are the favourites to carry the day. Liverpool will brag of their red-hot trio; Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firminho while Arsenal boasts of their new signing, lethal, left-footed striker Nicolas Pepe and the 2018-19 EPL Golden Boot award winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Both teams have six points and are currently leading the EPL table, with only a 2 goal difference. With their sublime form this season, speculations are doing around a few hours ahead of their encounter.
What caught the attention of many fans was an advert by an Indian over-the-top streaming service, Hotstar, which stated that the match will be between a team that has never won the Premier League and a team that has never won the Champions League.

Indeed, Liverpool have never won the Premier League since its formation in 1992. Liverpool are 18-times league title winners and they won their last league title in 1989-90 season. The league title was then called Football League. However, since the name was changed to Premier League in 1992, the Reds have never lifted the title.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have never won the UEFA Champions League but their best came in 2006 when they played in the final against Barcelona and they were beaten 2β1 on the night. The match was played at Stade de France, Saint-Denis on the 17th of May 2006.
Upon seeing the advert, online fans were sent into a frenzy, giving mixed reactions over the Indian ad.

Both Arsenal and Fergie haven't won the Premier League, they won the Barclays Premier League. Name change is all that matters right?

Our CL trophy count is twice yours. When we are playing in Europe we get to wear a badge that says what?? 6 so go back to your cave. Maybe try being the best team in Manchester first.

The premier league is a name re-branding of the 1st league in England- #LFC have one this 18 times……. Arsenal have not won the European Cup OR champions league so there is a difference ππ
β Carl Trainor (@carltrainor) August 23, 2019
Itβs the first division….. football did exist BEFORE the re branding. If you count the leagues it is 1-2-3-4…. there are 4 leagues and #LFC has won it 18 times. Why do Man Utd count it when they say the have won 20 then if donβt count?π€

Liverpool can equal their 29-year-old club record with a 12th league win in a row on a ground where they haven’t been beaten in the top flight for two years and 123 days.
Arsenal can win their opening three games of a top-flight season for the first time since 2004.
Klopp’s side is unbeaten against Arsenal in seven Premier League clashes. His team has scored for fun against them in front of the Kop in recent years.
