The dramatic divorce case pitting Meru Senator Mithika Linturi and his estranged wife Marianne Kitany has becomea major talking point on social media after Kitany revealed that her husband failed to present an impeachment motion against Anne Waiguru because they were having fun at a lodge in Naivasha.
Kitany, then the chief of staff in DP William Ruto’s office sensationally claimed that the plot to take Linturi to Sopa Lodge was a well-planned deal among top leaders in the governments meant to prevent Linturi from presenting a motion to impeach then Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
“We were in Sopa lodges … parliament was going on …our relationship started going because the public felt that I had given him money to sponsor the motion,” she said.
Kenyans cannot have enough of this ‘soap opera’. The reactions on social media have been fireworks..
