John De’Mathew dies in an accident; Raila’s 2022 secret plans confuse NASA, Jubilee; Fire burns down Githurai market

Good morning,

It is a dull cold morning today, it seems the weather has mirrored the mood of a majority of Kenyans. It is like being a Kenyan should be considered one of the 1000 ways to die. A few weeks ago, NTV exposed how supermarkets have been selling us toxic meat. #RedAlert was so alarming to a point most Kenyans chose to go the vegan way.

But it seems being a vegetarian is also not safe. Another story on NTV has revealed how we are consuming vegetables and fruits grown using polluted water. #ToxicFlow exposed how farmers are irrigating their plants with polluted water from the Nairobi River. Where are we headed as a country?

Away from the pollution, the long-awaited census will begin this week. President Kenyatta had given us a holiday and then revoked his decision a few hours later. We don’t know if this had something to do with his recent trip to Jamaica.

It has been an eventful weekend, full of political drama, all of which was covered by Opera News. We hope you enjoyed

Here are the stories making headlines this morning;
