While recognizing West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo, Loiyamorok MCA Mary Losile hinted that the people of Tiaty and Pokot at large have confidence in the leadership of Kamket and they are happy that they finally have a spokesperson from their own backyard.

“We have maximum respect for Lonyangapuo since his leadership has seen our community get to greater heights”, she stated.

“For now there is leadership change and as ‘Kaplelach’ we have been given an opportunity to lead the people of Pokot and we are ready to take up the mantle and we hope West Pokot will support Kamket the way we backed Lonyangapuo” added Churo Amaya MCA Ameja Selemoi who is also Kamket’s closest ally.

Kamket on his part promised to support the BBI’s recommendations once it’s handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

He also urged Pokot residents to pass the referendum once it gets down to them since it will serve to address all past electoral injustices in the country.
