Inua Mama, a group of women leaders aligned to Deputy President William Ruto on Friday made a grand entry into Kirinyaga county in central Kenya where they were received by thousands of residents led Hon Purity Ngirici.
The group, also known as Jenga Taifa women economic empowerment initiative is in Kirinyaga County For Badilisha Maisha program for youths, women and People living with Disabilities.
The group which was formed in a likely move to counter the handshake team Embrace Kenya is expected to make the issuance of 5000 Boda boda safety kits and licenses as well issuing cheques to different women and youth groups in the county of Kirinyaga.



“Women at the grassroots are used to dance for the political class who are mostly men but when it comes sharing of resources and major decision makings they are left out,” said Purity Ngirici who is also the Kenya Women Parliamentarians Association chair.
The group which will identify themselves with Maroon outfits will play an active role in shaping the outcome of the 2022 William Ruto’s election bid.
According to political experts, Inua Mama group was specifically intended for those brilliant young women together to consolidate a strong women’s movement in the country that will later be used to vigorously campaign for Dr. Ruto in 2022 General Election.
While Inua Mama Group was busy in Kirinyaga, their Embrace Kenya Women counterparts were in Kakamega County to promote another development agenda.
The team which has the blessings of both President Uhuru Kenyatta has been keenly supporting expected constitutional changes as a result of BBI which the Inua Mama Team has been campaigning against.
