Women Leaders under the Embrace Kenya team have come under intense attacks from a section of infuriated Kenyans just a day after proposing an expansion of the national executive to include a post of Prime Minister and two deputies.
While giving their views before the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) taskforce on Thursday morning, the leaders led by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga proposed the retention of the position of President and Deputy President while adding the three other posts.
Among other proposals the women gave includes the application of opposite gender rule in other elective and presidential appointments which they said will ensure gender balance in leadership, State and government positions.

Their recommendations were however met with varied reactions with most Kenyans who are already into Ekuru Aukot’s Punguza Mizigo Initiative telling of the leaders for trying to add more burden on the already tired Kenyans. Here are some of the reactions from Facebook and Twitter;
This is ridiculous!!! We are struggling to see how we can spend less in the country yet some bimbos are buys in the street demanding an expanded government! Shame on you women!!!

Titus Ogude Wa Ogude What is the essence of having a prime minister and his 2 deputies? Watu waheshimu tu katiba ukishindwa kura kaa kwako nyumbani, it’s not a must for some people to be in leadership, so we will keep on amending the constitution every day.
Let us just be law abiding citizens, let us strengthen our public institutions to be trusted, pana hizi sarakasi za BBi.
No normal Kenyan will start fighting if not incitement by the so called leaders who don’t want to accept the outcome of an election
#PunguzaMizigoBill2019 is ours all the way! We may not like the messenger but we like the message.

Punguza mizigo. Why reward political failures and their bimbos at the expense of taxpayers…

Elisha Kimjosee Njoroge So this is the so called best alternative to punguza mizigo…😡😡😡? I personally don’t buy into this nonsense, whether I’m just alone, I will be contended but for this keep it to yourself.
Building Bridges Initiative is dishonest and circumvents the constitution. It is a flawed process. So called public participation is a means to sanitize a flawed process of initiating a constitutional amendment. Inclusive government a.k.a. curving new positions for elite few

John Ignatius Prime Minister, and Deputies to perform which duties??? This BBI thing will be an additional burden to tax payers.Am still to understand the duties of Raila in the government.
Malik Ningning Wero Sekel The BBI is about the leadership class, wananchi who are all average in their thinking capacity will always clap whenever hyenas think of themselves. Later they will always complain of the unknown…Ongeza mzigo kabisa
Thise women are desperate and blind because BBi in an illegal task force to fulfill the interest of two glutton leaders and not Kenyan and I believe time has come for Kenyans to have asay on the matters of running this country

Kilimendi Mjukuu Wa Maasai We were fed the lie by Raila that PM will solve the issue of inclusivity, now we have 5 slots up for grabs, yet there are 38 tribes in kenya. How will the other 33 feel included? And we were also told that when someone steals, they dont steal on behalf of their community, why is it that when someone is appointed to any of the leadership position it is appointment on behalf of their community? (inclusivity?)
Moses Kangethe This blue bird initiative (BBI) is a political fraud mechanism to reward certain people.How will the position of PM add value to our ever ailing economy? ZERO value.
Punguza mizigo tu the only way
