Gor Mahia unveils 17 new players and coaches

Kenyan Premier League giants, Gor Mahia have unveiled their newly acquired players and coaches during a ceremony held at a hotel in Nairobi on Thursday evening.

Among the unveiled are six players from Gor’s youth team. The six are Caleb Omondi. Alphonse Omija, Llyod Khabuchi, Godfrey Ojung’a Rich-Donald Ogango and Samuel Osoo.

The others are Abdalla Shira and Tobias Otieno from Sony Sugar, Maurice Ojwang and Kennedy Otieno from Western Stima, Elvis Ronack from Nzoia Sugar, David Mapigano from Singida United, Dickson Ambundo from Alliance FC, Dennis Oalo from Nairobi Stima, Ivorian striker, Gislein Yikpe Gnamian and Ghanaian forward, Francis Afriyie. Missing during the unveiling is winger Curtis Wekesa who joined the club from Nairobi Stima.

At the same time, the club unveiled their new coach Steven Pollack to replaces Hassan Oktay and assistant Patrick Odhiambo who joined the club from Kenyan Premier League side, Sony Sugar FC.

“I want to take this moment to welcome you to the club. Gor Mahia is a good club and I want you to do your best to deliver. We have full confidence in your abilities and we will give you all the necessary support, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier asserted during the unveiling.
