Just a day after ODM leader Raila Odinga hosted leaders from Bomet and Kericho counties at his Capitol Hill premises, Kenyans and especially those from Rift Valley have weighed in on the meeting terming the leaders as political rejects from the region.

On Tuesday Rift Valley legislators led by former Governor Isaac Ruto, former Kuresoi MP Zakayo Cheruiyot, former Konoin MP Paul Sang and former Minister Franklin Bett held a closed-door consultative meeting at Raila’s Capitol Hill Office.

During the two hour meeting, it was alleged that the legislators’ talks with Raila dwelt on issues ranging from politics to development and the thorny Mau Forest evictions, which are due to start.

While some commended the four leaders for shelving their own interests and consulting with the ODM leader for the unity’s sake, many online users from the region termed the meeting as baseless terming the four leaders as political rejects from the Rift Valley who commands zero support from the ground.

Many observed that the leaders were meeting Raila for their own selfish interest and not on behalf of the community. Here are some of the comments from both Twitter and Facebook;

Czar Nelson Melly Point of correction they are not Rift valley leaders, they are losers

Kiprop Kiprop Even Bett and Sang are here? so sad. anyone not with ruto in bomet, and not only bomet especially kalenjin land, anyone not with ruto is already a loser. Kalenjin people will not support anything that does not emanate from ruto who is kalenjin king-pin. Get that into your head.
