Dropping the name “Waiguru” will not make Kenyans forget the Kirinyaga Governor in the NYS Scandal

Its official, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru dropped the name ”Waiguru”, saying she will communicate soon what her formal name will be.

Speaking to the media after the Supreme Court upheld her election which was being challenged by Martha Karua, the politician said for now people can call her whatever they like.

“On my official name, we will soon communicate officially; for now, you can call me Anne Mumbi or Anne Mumbi Minji Minji or Anne Mumbi Kamotho Minji Minji…whichever…It is just a name,” she said.

Anne Mumbi got married to lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo in a traditional wedding, leaving people at crossroads on what name they should call her.

Of course this sparked up quite a response from Kenyan Netizens. With most referring to the missing money in the NYS Scandal, Kenyans were quick to note that her decision would not deter them from the fact that her name was already associated with the said scandal and that they would not forget it however much she changes her name.

Furthermore, they even went a step further to note that her Twitter handle had since not changed.
