Arsenal has however turned down the offer though the reasons for the same are not clear.

Iwobi enjoyed a mixed campaign with Arsenal last season. With Arsenal lacking winger, he was asked to play out of position on the left-hand side of the Arsenal attack. His speed and quick passing helped balance the team but he faded as the season wore on.
With Arsenal in desperate need of funds to facilitate the purchase of a center back, maybe an improved offer from Everton could see them sell the academy graduate.
We’re strong offensively. We’re awful defensively. Selling Alex Iwobi for £30m would allow us to get Tierney & possibly even a centre back. It would also be a good move for him personally. It seems to make sense for all involved. Let’s hope it happens.

Iwobi has been at Arsenal since the age of 14, he played 35 Premier League games for Arsenal last season and scored 3 goals.
