Raila will have a say on who replaces Ken Okoth

Good morning,

A beautiful sunny morning like today may be a sign that we are done with mourning and back to what we know best; politicking! It’s less than 72 hours since late Kibra MP Ken Okoth was unceremoniously cremated at the Kariakor crematorium in a function that both his mum and son did not attend. It seems the family has already moved on from the fallen politician and shifted focus to who will replace him at the August house.

Elsewhere, Bomet Deputy Governor Hilary Barchok will be sworn in as the governor on Thursday. All eyes are on who will take over as deputy governor. There have been calls for him to choose a female deputy in honor of Joyce Laboso. It looks like it is going to be a fully packed week.

Here are the top stories making headlines in Opera News;

“We have one Imran in mind. He was the personal assistant to Ken and was the one taking care of everything when Ken was sick. So we thought he is the right person to do that because he knew every plan Ken had concerning Kibra.”
