Veteran Machakos-based politician Kalembe Ndile has found himself on the receiving end of Social Media users just hours after he publicly declared that his Tip tip party will not back Deputy President Dr. William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.
In a video shared online, Kalembe who was speaking in Machakos on Monday said that he had reached the decision after consulting with members of the Tip Tip faction of the governing Jubilee party.
“Katika chama cha Jubilee mrengo wa Tip Tip tunataka kutangaza leo kwamba sisi hatutamuunga Ruto, deputy president, hatutamuunga mkono katika juhudi zake za urais 2022” said Kalembe in the video.
Kalembe cited William Ruto’s associates whom he said were busy fighting the war on corruption as the party’s main reason not to support the Hustler in 2022.

It is, however, Kalembe’s announcement that set social media on fire. While some commended Kalembe for making a bold decision, many took the opportunity to troll the veteran politician who was well known for his funny comics and theatrics in politics during former President Moi’s regime.
Kalembe who is well known for his ‘mastery’ of the English language was trolled with a section of users alleging that the former Kibwezi MP was crying foul over a portion of brown Envelope he did not receive from Ruto just like other political sycophants.
