Despite his lack of match sharpness and fitness, Masoud was controversially included in the Harambee Stars squad for the Africa Cup Of Nations tournament. He ended up making one substitute appearance in the team’s opener against eventual Champions Algeria.

The former Kariobangi Sharks man provoked the wrath of Gor Mahia and AFCLeopards(Kenya’s biggest football teams) after making belittling comments on the two. The quotes came after he finished the 2017 Kenya Premier League season as the top scorer with 17 goals.
‘If I am to move from Sharks, it wonβt be to join AFC Leopards or Gor Mahia. It will be to join a bigger team,” Juma said shortly after winning the KPL golden boot back in 2017.
Let’s hope he finally gets some play time!
