Masika starts for Harambee Stars against Tanzania

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne has named his squad that will take on Tanzania in a first leg 2020 Chan qualification match this afternoon.

Kenya begin their qualification campaign with a match against Taifa Stars as they look to qualify for the competition that involves players who play in domestic leagues for the first time ever.

Coach Migne has released his squad for the match. Kariobangi Sharks keeper John Oyemba starts in goal and will make his first ever appearance for the national team in Dar.

He will be covered by Wazito FC defender Bernard Ochieng, KCB captain Mike Kibwage, Gor Mahia’s Joash Onyango and Kenya Police new-man Clifton Miheso who is predominantly a winger but will slot into the left-back position.

Captain of the day Dennis Odhiambo, Whyvonne Isuza and Kenneth Muguna lineup in a three man midfield. Wazito FC’s Musa Masika, Enosh Ochieng and Duke Abuya will lead the attack. All the three are debutants.

Conspicuously missing from the match day squad is in-form Bandari FC winger Abdalla Hassan who’s not even on the subs bench.
