What is really happening to Dams projects in Kenya? Seemingly Dams are damned or maybe cursed.
Even before the upset Kenyans manage to swallow the bitter pills on the Arror and Kimwarer Dam Scandal, Itare Dam is also threatening to burst.

Itare Dam which is located in Nakuru is on the verge on losing Sh11 billion if the government cancels the contract awarded to Italian firm CMC di Ravenna.
The Cabinet is now holding the fate of that multi-billion project according to Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui.
The Sh35.69 billion contract was awarded to CMC di Ravenna in 2018 to construct the dam in Nakuru. The project, which was expected to take four years, was meant to supply water in Kericho, Bomet and Nakuru counties upon completion.
With little done the contractor CMC di Ravenna, is on the verge of being declared bankrupt.
This information has upset many Kenyans. Many have expressed their feelings that the Dams Projects are damned.
From Kiserian, Itare, Kimwarer and Arror…. our Dams are Damned!

Aror, Kimwarer, Itare are dam damn dead projects. It’s paralysing innocent tax payer to the feet. Judiciary’s bloodstream play seems to play ARREST WE RELEASE game. We need VAR(external review) in the court to analyse every bit of steps taken. Chai wanakunywa.#newscompass

The awarding of both Kimwarer/Arror and Itare Dam projects to the same company has caused uproar in the social media projects. The Italian CMC di Ravenna company is facing a lot of problems with news of bankruptcy facing the contractor.
