It seems to have been a little too late for Kenyans on Twitter to react after football star Mo Salah was spotted at a Nairobi hotel on Tuesday.
A photo of the Egyptian National and Liverpool striker was leaked on social media on Wednesday morning causing a frenzy with many wishing him a safe stay in Kenya’s capital; but alas! He was already gone it seems.

The Star reported that the player was on transit to an unknown location and that his team had ordered the Nairobi Hotel not to give his stay any special attention. This seems to have worked perfectly.
“His team came here and talked to one of our bosses. They didn’t want any information out. However, we enjoyed his stay,” they quoted a waiter at the hotel.

The star had confirmed over the weekend that he was on holiday at an undisclosed location confirming that indeed he does not want any attention on him at this time as he relaxes after a grueling AFCON tournament.
