The Orange Democratic Movement has been harshly criticized following their announcement that they will give their official stand on ‘Punguza Mizigo’ Initiative tomorrow.

“We shall give our official position on the Punguza Midigo referendum push tomorrow (Thursday 25th July 2019) at 12pm at Orange House,” ODM Party stated.

The ODM Party under the leadership of AU Representative Raila Odinga has been against the ‘Punguza Mizigo’ Initiative. Siaya Senator James Orengo and Mbadi leading the troop.

‘Accept defeat and move.’ ODM has been told to simply give in and allow ‘Punguza Mizigo’ sponsored by Thirdway alliance to sail through.

This comes just hours after Dr Ekuru Aukot claimed that those opposed to Punguza Mizigo Bill have not read it to get the true facts contained in the document.

“Most of the leaders who are opposed to this bill have actually not read it. James Orengo should have been dancing to the tune of this bill because it is actually elevating him,” Ekuru Aukot said.

Moreover, ODM has been castigated for misspelling ‘Mizigo’ instead writing ‘Midigo.’ Some Kenyans have argued that ODM is basically against the ‘Wadigo‘ community in Kenya as their statements reads ‘Punguza Midigo.’

‘It Must go through.’ ODM Party has been told that the ‘Punguza Mizigo’ initiative must sail through no matter their stand.

However ODM’s position is already known following the reactions from most of their members.  The Party’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna stated the stand long time ago. He openly underrated the capability of Thirdway Alliance to collect over 1 million signatures. He went to an extent of saying that he will resign if Ekuru Aukot manages to collect 1 million signatures.
