Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, popularly known as Baba Yao, is a man whose lifestyle is riddled by scandals. He is being investigated over alleged corruption in various county projects, including the famed ‘Kaa Sober’ programme – aimed at rehabilitating alcoholics. The initiative was said to have guzzled up close to Sh700 million before it was terminated.
Waititu, a family man is a father of two daughters, Monica Ndung’u and Josephine Ndung’u. The two are from the governors coupling with his wife, Susan Ndung’u.
Even with the many trolls over corruption, the Governor’s family light doesn’t seem to be deemed any time soon. Waititu’s firstborn daughter, Monica Njeri will tie the knot on Saturday.
The invite-only ceremony is scheduled to take place at PCEA Evergreen in Runda, with the reception done at the classy Windsor Country Club.

Monica, a doctor by profession, has been adversely named in the ongoing investigations with allegations that she controls the accounts under Waititu’s name.
The past allegations have put her in the spotlight and it is alleged that the 100 million Kenyan shillings had been deposited in her account over a period of the last 8 months.
She is getting married to Dr Nyotu Gitau. According to his social media account, Nyotu studied Health Innovation at University of Cape Town and MBCHB, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Nairobi, School of Medicine.
Monica, on the other hand, is a graduate of medicine from the University of Nairobi. She is a senior doctor at the Gatundu Level 5 Hospital after being employed by the Kiambu government.
Previously, she worked at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
This raised eyebrows as to how she could have acquired such amount of money in a short period of time.
It was established she might have been used as a conduit for handling money stolen from the county government of Kiambu.
Another gel at the heart of Waititu’s family is Josphine Ndungu who is the second born.
Josphine who at one point caused a frenzy on social media due to her glamour and beauty is a reputable lawyer in most of the family’s investments.
The brainy governor’s daughter emerged top of her class during her graduation from Nairobi law-school.
She is pretty and wears fabulous clothes.
