Renown radio personality Caroline Mutoko has indirectly called on Kenyans to stop making noise on social media over MPs’ salaries and torch the Parliament.
Taking to her official Twitter handle, Mutoko shared a BBC story in which Burkina Faso People set ablaze their Parliament building in 2014. As an act of revolution, angry protesters set their parliament in flames to oppose the plans to extend President Blaise Compaore who was serving his 27th year in Parliament.
Mutoko believes Burkinabes are people who don’t waste time on hashtags (meaning online noisemakers)
“Where people don’t waste time on hashtags.” She captioned her post on Twitter.

Kenyans have interpreted this message as a call for action, coming at a time when greedy MPs are asking for millions of extra money including a controversial house allowance and also a night allowance whenever they attend Parliament.
But some people have not taken her post well, reminding the radio presenter of the role she played in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election, including but not limited to being an MC in a Jubilee Party fundraiser.
Isn't it too early to be shallow? Your MPs are asking for extra money NOT the President. Get with the program. The executive vs the legislative vs YOU. #wakeup!

Mutoko has also been forced to accept the fact that choices have repercussion bearing in mind that she was Pro-UhuRuto.
Choices have consequences, you reaped what you sowed.

The Veteran journalist has been reminded of how she fed the ‘crocodiles which are now devouring her.

Those who have learnt from the past atrocities which have befallen the country including the 2007/2008 post-election violence have rubbished Mutoko’s call for a revolution. Most middle class people suffer the most.

Although she has been blasted, some people are buying into her idea. Some netizens have claimed that nothing will happen if Kenyans don’t employ the use of ‘action now.’
Exactly! Seems some things will never happen in Kenya.

The funny ones have interpreted her message literally by volunteering to buy the necessary materials required to set the parliament on fire.
