Former AFC Leopards winger Baker Lukooya is training with Kenyan Premier League side, Tusker FC with the view of earning a deal with the Ruaraka based Brewers.

The left-footed winger has been club-less since March 2019 when he was released by Ingwe after he was reduced to a fringe player at the club. He had moved to Leopards in December 2017 from Ugandan side Soana FC.

The Brewers resumed training early this week and Lukooya was one of the players spotted training with the Brewers at their Ruaraka training ground. A move to the club will see him reunite with coach Robert Matano who signed him for AFC Leopards.

Tusker FC’s media liaison officer Diana Yonah has clarified that the player hasn’t signed for Tusker but is among the players being assessed by the technical bench.

“He has not signed for the team. He is among players the technical bench is assessing. We will announce all our signings through our official communication channels. So far we have not confirmed any signing,” Yonah told Opera News.

Meanwhile seven Tusker Youth FC  players are also training with the senior team. Among them is former St. Anthony’s Boys Kitale captain Silas Ogana. The rest are Erick Zakayo, James Mutua, Omar Bilali, Mario Kakai, Peter Ngugi and Benard Omollo.

Tusker will begin its 2019/20 campaign with a match against holders Gor Mahia.
