Breaking: Kenyan football icon Kadenge dies

 

Kenyan football legend Joe Kadenge has passed on aged 84 at a Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with illness.

Kadenge has been and out of hospital for the last couple of years and early this year, he was hospitalized for long after suffering a stroke.

Ragarded as one of the best Kenyan players ever, Kadenge played for AFC Leopards and the National team, Harambee Stars for many years.

His sons equally played football. Oscar Kadenge featured for AFC Leopards and Tusker FC in the Kenyan Premier. Francis Kadenge who passed on in 2015 played for AFC Leopards and the National team Harambee Stars while Evans Kadenge is the team manager at Kenyan Premier League side, Nzoia Sugar FC.

Kenyans have taken to social media to eulogize the football icon.
