A Church in Kiambu County in a place called Mwiki has been making headlines for its one of a kind dedication service. The ATG Deliverance Chapel is planning to host a dedication service for the new currency.
However the church might suffer a setback if they did not get permission from The Central Bank of Kenya.
The Central Bank of Kenya has today has stated that it is illegal to use the image of the Kenyan Currency without their permission.
But to be allowed to use the image of the Kenyan Currency ,one must apply in writing to the Central Bank of Kenya for approval.
The CBK will weigh the application then allow or reject the application.

If one contravenes this rules, the penalties are tough. One is penalized One Hundred Thousand for contravening the above stated rules. If he fails to pay the one hundred thousand in the specified time,CBK applies a daily surcharge of ten shillings.
