Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu who has been accusing Deputy President William Ruto and his allies for stage managing assassinations allegations has again hit at the arrested State House employee Denis Itumbi who has claimed that he is in possession of a video and audio proving that there was a meeting plotting to eliminate the DP.

Ngunjiri insisted that none of the accusations made against the four Mt. Kenya Cabinet Secretaries are real since Itumbi who has been linked with faking the assassination letter, has a rich history of perpetuating false communication output within the digital space.

The Vocal Kieleweke MP who  questioned the authenticity of the video and audio that Itumbi has claimed to be in possession of arguing that in the first script, Ruto’s allies claimed that the meeting contained 54 leaders discussing the assassination in a basement in La Mada, then why would the audio and video be between two people?

“Yesterday the Deputy President’s political mouth-pieces introduced yet another script. They insisted that ‘even if’ the letter may be fake they have an Audio and Video of the alleged meeting. However unlike the first script that had a committee of 54 discussing the assassination in a basement in La Mada; now they have audio and video of a conversation between a that two people. Incidentally, the guy making this claim has a rich history of perpetuating false communication output within the digital space”, read part of his Facebook statement.

Itumbi was arrested on Wednesday as part of an investigation on a fake letter alleging a plot to eliminate the Deputy President.

He claims he declined to admit and instead told the DCI that he has a video recorded at La Mada hotel – where the alleged plot to assassinate Ruto was reportedly hatched –and which he wanted played in camera before the magistrate.

Itumbi said that the video has all those who attended the meeting together with what each individual said at the meeting.
