Vocal Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has blasted the Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator for defending Denis Itumbi’s arrest where he had claimed that the act was meant to divert the public’s attention from the alleged meeting held at La Mada hotel by some of the cabinet secretaries.
Murkomen’s quick rejoinder on the Itumbi’s arrest seemed to anger the Kieleweke MP forcing him to send a stern warning to him to maintain silence and watch the unfolding events like the rest unless he was a party to the alleged assassination plot.
Wambugu went on to question Murkomen’s active involvement in the Ruto’s murder allegations where he asked him to report to the DCI/FBI if he was so conversant with the DP ‘murder plot’.
“Why do you sound like you know why Itumbi was arrested for, Mheshimiwa? Why not let DCI/FBI tell us, what is happening? In fact, i would actually advise you to keep quiet and watch like the rest of us, unless you are a party to this story, ” Ngunjiri wrote on his Twitter account.

While responding to his arrest on his Twitter account, Murkomen questioned if there was a meeting that took place at La Mada, if the Permanent Secretary in charge of DCI indeed said Ruto must be stopped the same way Saitoti was, saying the authenticity of the allegations was more important than the letter itself.

Itumbi was arrested at Deputy President William Ruto’s Harambee Annex office by DCI officers investigating the DP’s assassination allegations who have linked him with faking a letter on the alleged plot.
