Itumbi Comes Face to Face With Harsh Reality For Lying to the Public For Ruto

Does Dennis Itumbi have anything to do with DP William Ruto’s alleged Fake assassination letter?

Tuesday saw the secretary digital, innovations and diaspora communications at state house arrested over links to the fake letter that caused a political storm in the country.

Itumbi was driven to the DCI headquarters for questioning.


On Monday, a leading local daily linked Itumbi to the fake letter. The daily even claimed that Itumbi alongside other aides of William Ruto were on the radar of the DCI.

Investigative authorities have had their doubts over the authenticity of the letter and have been trying to dig deep in order to ascertain the true nature of things.

The letter which is alleged to have come from one cabinet minister has made it’s way to different political and social gatherings as a number of leaders try to use it to gain political mileage while others have rebuked the whole assassination narrative.

Investigative agencies on the other hand ruled out any possibility that the letter was drafted by a cabinet secretary.

“We are pretty confident that we are about to find those behind the letter. All we can tell you is that no cabinet secretary wrote the letter,” one of the officers said.

Itumbi on the other hand lashed out at the Nation for linking him to the fake letter.

The letter dated May 30 claims that a meeting had been convened at Hotel La Mada to discuss how to “shore up support for the President in Mt. Kenya and its diaspora.”

Also on the agenda was a “proposed referendum” and a plan to”go on the offensive against Ruto.
