In building a defensive wall for Itumbi, blogger Robert Alai has come out revealing new details why Itumbi was arrested.

Alai stated the arrests which are being made are targeting people close to DP Ruto. Alai who was facing terrorism charges has revealed that during his 14 days behind bars he was only interrogated of having any close links to the Deputy President.

“The current arrests are targeting people thought to be close to DP William Ruto .In the whole of my interrogation, I was NEVER asked anything to do with terrorism. It was all “who do you communicate within Ruto’s office” etc… The arrest of Dennis Itumbi is WRONG,” Alai stated.

However the Firebrand Activist Boniface Mwangi has faulted Alai. Boniface Mwangi has stated what Alai has revealed is not what he told him when he visited him while Central Police Station.

Boniface Mwangi has also argued that he was not aware that Alai was a close ally to DP Ruto. Moreover he has hit hard the nail on the head telling off Alai that if Ruto was his friend he would have bailed him.

“That’s not what you told me when l came to see you at Central Police Station.I wasn’t even aware you’re close to The Deputy President William Ruto. However both you Robert Alai and Dennis Itumbi have a right to legal representation and due process. Alai,if Ruto is your friend,he should have bailed you!” Boniface Mwangi Stated.
