3 Arsenal transfers that could be finalized before the window closes

Arsenal confirmed their first signing of the summer on Tuesday with the capture of Brazil forward Gabriel Martinelli. The 18year old joins from Ituano and is the first in what is likely to be a youthful summer at Arsenal.

The club has embarked on a new philosophy of acquiring the best young talents in the World and letting them develop after too many big money flops in the last few years. Case in point Shkodran Mustafi and Granit Xhaka.

Below we look at 3 players who could join Arsenal before the transfer window closes in early August..

William Saliba

The Saint Etienne center back is highly rated and already has the build of a full professional. At 18 years of age, Saliba has all the qualities to become a World Class center back with Arsenal willing to cough up 30million pounds to seal the deal.

Reports claim that talks are ongoing between the two teams and a deal will be finalized soon. They Frenchman is however expected to be loaned back to the Ligue 1 club for one season.

Kieran Tierney

After two failed bids, Arsenal are expected to make a final bid for the 22-year-old Celtic left-back. The Gunners are in dire need of a new left back as Sead Kolainacis not good defensively while Nacho Monreal will be 34 tears old next season.

Fast and good in the tackle, Tierney will complete Arsenal’s left-hand side which has been lacking in quality for quite some time.

Malcolm

The Brazilian was not a huge part of Barcelona’s title-winning team last season. A left-footed quick and direct winger, he would add a lot on the wings for an Arsenal team that lacks a true winger.

Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanlehhi is a former Barcelona executive and is using his links with the club to get the deal done.
