Harambee Stars will be up against Senegal in their final group C match at the ongoing Africa Cup Of Nations Tournament in Egypt. Kenya is on 3 points following one win and a loss in the first two matches. Sebastian Migne’ side only needs to avoid defeat against Senegal to book a lot in the knockout round for the first time in Kenya’s history.

Below, we take a look at how Migne could line up against the Lions Of Teranga.

Defence

Patrick Matasi has looked shaky in goal so far in the tournament but he remains Harambee Stars best goalkeeper. He did make a few errors in the Tanzania match but also bailed out his team with very good saves. He should start in goal.

Philemon Otieno is expected to be fit for the match after missing out on Thursday with an injury. His availability should see him slot in his right back position meaning that Migne can finally play David Owino in his favored center back position.

To complete the center back pairing is Musa Mohamed who also started in the first two games. Aboud Omar completes the back line at left back.

Midfield

The partnership of Victor Wanyama and Johanna Omollo in a double pivot has been good in the tournament so far and Sebastian Migne is not expected to break it. Ahead of the two, there is a decision to make between Francis Kahata and John Aviire in the attacking midfield position. Kahata’s experience should see him start though he has had a poor tournament so far.

Besides, bringing on Aviire from the bench against Tanzania worked wonders for Kenya.

Attack

Micheal Olunga’s two goals against Tanzania makes him a sure starter in the striker’s position while Ayub Masika Timbe has done nothing so far to suggest that he needs to be dropped on the right wing. Eric Johanna has been impressive too and will start on the left wing.

Starting Line Up: Patrick Matasi, Philemon Otieno, Aboud Omar, David Owino, Musa Mohamed, Victor Wanyama, Johanna Omollo, Francis Kahata, Ayub Masika, Eric Johanna, Michael Olunga.
