The International Festival that was to be graced by Top Bongo Artistes  Diamond Platinumz and Rayvanny has been called off until further notice.

The long awaited event of Go fere which was to be held on the 29th June has been called off due to the ongoing coup in Ethiopia.

This postponement comes days after a coup attempt in the host country, Ethiopia, by an army general in the northern state of Amhara that left three officials dead.

The Ethiopian government is also struggling to contain discontent from Ethiopia’s myriad ethnic groups fighting the federal government and each other for greater influence and resources.  Outbreaks of ethnic violence have displaced around 2.4 million people, according to the United Nations.
