Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba has raised very grave allegations against Interior Permanent Secretary Kibicho Karanja. Pro-Ruto ally, Murkomen has accused PS Kibicho to be the main man behind the murder of George Saitoti.
Saitoti, then the Minister of Internal Security, died together with his Assistant Orwa Ojode when a police chopper they were travelling in crashed in June 2012. There have been many conspiracy theories about his death.
Murkomen just added another theory to the mystery, after linking Kibicho to the death. Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV’s JKLive show, Murkomen said the streets had linked Kibicho to the death.
“The Purpoted Lamada incident and the issue of Saitoti is linked to Kibicho that is from the streets,but until when of course the DCI investigates,” Murkomen stated.
Murkomen added,“He is the coach of that meeting,he is the main guy, he has been accused of funding Kieleweke, Embrace Team.”

Murkomen has also pinned PS Kibicho of being behind the Lamada meeting which was purported to be planning to kill The Deputy President William Ruto.
Three Cabinet Secretaries were mentioned to be his co-planners to eliminate DP Ruto. CS Peter Munya spoke on behalf of the named CS denying the claims of planning to kill Ruto.

Moreover Murkomen has castigated PS Kibicho to be main source of funds to the anti-Ruto groups in the country. He has claimed that Kibicho is the one funding both Kieleweke and Embrace. Kieleweke is mostly opposed to DP Ruto’s Presidency while Embrace Kenya is women wing championing for cohesion and integration. It basically supports the handshake.
Murkomen has insisted that Kibicho has been on a hunting mission for the Pro-Ruto ally recalling the incidence where security of some legislators were withdrawn.

Many questions have always been raised over the relationship between Dr William Ruto and PS Karanja Kibicho. They have clashed more than once, with Team Tangatanga even pushing for his ouster.
However Dr Kibicho has filed a legal complaint against DP Ruto over harassment to the DCI George Kinoti.
Dr Kibicho has accused Ruto, who is technically his boss, of harassment, a charge that adds a new twist to an ongoing investigation against three Cabinet secretaries.
The PS had been expected to appear at the DCI headquarters to respond as an accused, but on Tuesday night he went there as a complainant.
