In a perfect world, we would assume that the friends we choose want the best for us. But you can never really trust anyone in this world but your God to be honest. Your bestie could be your enemy and you probably have all the signs but if you’re living in denial you will never admit it. Sometimes we are too afraid to think of people in a certain way because you may have to drop them which is sad but it will save you years of pain and time.
1. You’re always the one following her
You cannot be the one who is always trying to make plans to meet your best friend but they never make time for you. If she makes you feel like your friendship is a one-sided then you need to reevaluate your whole friendship.
2. You cannot tell her when you’re doing well
If you feel like you cannot tell her your goals or your achievements, there is something wrong. Your best friend is not meant to make you feel uncomfortable about you doing well, she is supposed to encourage you and be excited when you’re doing well.
3. You’ve been told she talks badly about you
You have been warned that your bestie doesn’t have your back because she has talked badly about you a few times. She also likes making you look bad in front of other people even if it’s in a very passive way.
4. She’s always negative
She is always the one telling you what you can or can’t do and whenever it comes to your love life, instead of motivating you she always wants you to be bitter. There’s very little positivism that comes out from her whenever it comes to your life which is just annoying.
Friends come and go and that is okay. Some will be there for a season and the sooner you realize that people can easily become toxic the better it will be for you. You don’t need a friend who brings you down you need someone who will pull you up.
