Political Tensions Escalate Amid Calls To Disband the Cabinet Over Ruto ‘Murder Plot’

Political tensions in the country have been building up following Deputy President William Ruto’s allegations on a group of Cabinet Secretaries plotting for his assassination.

Following the DCI’s summon of four ministers from the Mt. Kenya region linked them to a secret plot to eliminate the DP,  President Uhuru Kenyatta is now being urged to disband the cabinet and start afresh while cooling the political temperatures a move which has caused a buzz on social media.

Controversial Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi  Tweet which has since created massive reads;

“In light of the allegations made by Deputy President William Ruto that about 4 members of the CABINET (same TRIBE) are planning to kill him, H.E Uhuru in my CONSIDERED view MUST DISBAND his cabinet/government and start a fresh…I don’t think this has PRECEDENT in our history”.

In a quick rejoinder, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and a close ally to the DP backed Ahmednasir’s arguing that change in the cabinet is very necessary.

On the other end,  Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Belgut MP Nelson Koech have threatened to push for the impeachment of the three CSs over the allegations.

With such, Kenyans don’t need a sign to understand that the countries political stability is at risk. Here is what they have to say on the Cabinet disbandment;

Ruto should resign if he cant work with this cabinet

Government cannot be run on the insane whims and shenanigans of a desperate man finding an exit route from Government. Uhuru Kenyatta does not need to disband his Cabinet. He needs to EXPEL Ruto from Government .

Not true Dp Ruto is just looking for sympathy after a failed PR on mahindi chroma and the akorino lecture.He’s no.2 let him call for a cabinet meeting and summon them if true. We are tried of him and his cohorts like sudi

1. Why would the president disband the cabinet on issues touching a few of the members? 2. How founded are the allegations?

3. Has the @DCI_Kenya failed in handling the matter?
I register a dissent.
