James Mbugua, famously known as matwiti makeki boy, is all smiles after his long-awaited day to meet deputy president Ruto arrived.
On meeting him. Ruto asked the young boy what he would desire to do.
Many would expect that the boy would ask for money and greater deals but he said that he wishes to be in school.
He will receive full sponsorship in his education till the level he wishes to.
This comes after he appeared on comedian Chipukeezy’s The funny truth 4 show where he was announced as the brand ambassador of Valentines cake house.
During the show, Chipukeezy made fundraising to help the boy financially. People who contributed were Nyali MP Mohammed with Director of communication Nairobi county Walter pledge who contributed contribute 100k.
Secretary of Digital Communication at State House Dennis Itumbi, contributed Sh10, 000, towards his school fees.
JamboPay CEO, Danson Muchemi, promised to pay Mbugua’s school fees for his primary school education, as event sponsors DSTV pledged Sh100, 000.
It is during the show that Mbugua was promised to be presented before Ruto, a dream which has come true.
Sharing on his Instagram account, Chipukeezy announced that he had accomplished the task of taking Mbugua to Ruto.
He said; “Juzi Tuliambia Rafiki yangu Mathwiti tutamplekea Mdosi aseme vile anataka na jana usiku waipatana na akasema yeye anataka kusoma tu …So Mathwiti atasoma mpaka mahali anataka.”
Mbugua comes from Ndemberi ,Kiambu county where he was captured by his uncle 5 years ago talking about sweets(matwiti)and cakes(makeki).
