Kenyan football national football team, Harambee Stars lost their first match of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in the hands of Algeria led by Manchester City’s winger, Riyad Mahrez.
Despite the loss, there is still believe that the side can pick up back the pieces and give a proper match in their next matches especially Tanzania who they are facing next.
One of the men who still believe in the magic the side can present in the former premier, Raila Odinga who conveyed his morale-boosting message to the Harambee Stars as they seek to overturn a 2-0 loss in their remaining matches.
In a tweet, the former Premier said, ”After a 15-year absence from the tournament, you played your hearts out but didn’t get a favourable result”.
After a 15 year absence from the tournament you played your hearts out but didn't get a favorable result. Keep your heads up and keep going, kuteleza sio kuanguka. The whole nation is still rooting for you #HarambeeStars all the best in the rest of your #AFCON2019 fixtures.
— Raila Odinga (@RailaOdinga) June 23, 2019
”Keep your heads up and keep going, kuteleza sio kuanguka”, he added. The tweet has received mixed reactions from supporters with some blasting and calling on him to be realistic.
