Kenya well presented in Man City’s philanthropic gesture

Former Harambee Starlets captain, Terry Ouko, one of the young leaders around the world participating in the 5th annual Manchester City’s Summit is expected to reap big from the same for the country.

The summit which conducts sessions with the participants focusses on developing their skills and confidence towards delivering life-changing community football sessions in their local communities as well as funding projects in the societies.

Terry Ouko who is the representative for Kenya courtesy of her initiatives across the nation is according to the club initiative going to benefit from goal posts which will benefit Kilifi County where she has been championing for the involvement of girls in football.

With assistance from Manchester City in the Community coaches, the Young Leaders are also taken through community coaching sessions and leadership skills at City Football Academy.

Terry who is also a Blaze Kenya mentor has been an instrumental figure in girls mentorship sessions that have been funded by Safaricom through the Blaze Kenya initiative.

Apart from the practical training sessions, the young leaders meet with senior leaders from across City Football Group and are engaged in a speed networking session to find out about their projects, and brainstorm on what makes a good leader and the challenge they have each faced and overcome.
