Happily ever after? Ways to tell he/she is the one for you

In every relationship, we seek to bring the best in each other. In marriage life, things can get thick but one can only express what is real. It’s supposed to be glorious, and people always look forward to celebrating happily ever after with their special other. Most times the woman is thrown under the bus when things go astray, it is sad because that’s how the society is set up.

When a relationship or marriage fails, things suddenly get very salty. When the core values are broken and someone doesn’t see it, there is a high possibility of making it worse, and causes one to crumble and wash their hands. The couple could either seperate, divorce or even break-up.

With that being said, it’s important to note that there’s no shame in saying what you struggle with, because nobody chooses to struggle with something. You can meet someone who is great, and not necessarily great for their special other.

As one goes on with life, they get to know themselves better, as they go on and meet someone, after sometimes they also reveal much about themselves which would make their partner weigh any differences. Until then one may decide to take on another path.


For a relationship to break away it takes two, just as it takes two for a relationship to work. It starts with values, because that what holds on to every being. If you don’t share the same valueswith your partner then there’s a likeliness of things going south.

In every relationship be it marriage, there’s a concept of 80:20. 80% is what you give into the relationship and 20% is what you expect to receive.

When the values are not aligning with each other, they shake things up. Such values may include;

  • Financial Infidelity
  • Adultery or Fornication
  • Lying
  • Lack of Support

If the other person doesn’t offer companionship and doesn’t make it better, then the partner will always fight for companionship and seek to get in any way possible even if it means getting it from another person.

Signs that your partner is not right for you

  • You constantly feel bad  about yourself.
  • You become too nostalgic.
  • There’s a likeliness you were wedding obsessed.
  • Your priorities are not the same.
  • Either you or your partner lies.
  • There’s nothing to talk when you are just the two of you.

Ways to know you could be married to a wrong partner

  • You expected them to change when married.
  • Both of you don’t share common life goals.
  • You don’t feel emotionally safe.
  • You focus more on chemistry than character.
  • You pick the wrong person because the man doesn’t understand what a woman needs the most.
  • You get intimately involved too quickly.
  • You use relationships to escape from personal problems and unhappiness.
