President Uhuru Kenyatta is with no doubt an enemy of his own people of Gatundu. President Uhuru who was once a darling to the region with people singing his praises, he is now at an extent of being ‘cursed.’
But why are the residents of Gatundu so angry with their darling Uhuru?
Controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has divulged why the President is unwelcome guest in his own back yard.
The outspoken lawmaker has reiterated his stand that the people of Gatundu have not seen any development agenda in the region. He has stated that it is clear that Uhuru has forgotten his promise to the region that is why the people are angry.
“People from where I come from are angry. They say they do not see development,” claimed Moses Kuria.
To counter this enmity that is brewing up in the Mt. Kenya region, Kuria has proposed that the leadership of ‘Uthamaki’ should now give room for the other tribes in Kenya to showcase their leadership style.
“As 1 tribe, we need to give room to the other 41 tribes in Kenya,” stated Kuria.
But it is not the first time Moses Kuria is expressing the anger of the people from Gatundu. During the New Year eve, Kuria boldly attacked the President for sidelining his own back yard in terms of dishing out development projects.
But President Uhuru’s response made the timid Moses Kuria to apologize. Uhuru referred to him and other leaders who were singing to his tune as “washenzi.”
