Kabogo Echoes Uhuru, Explains How 2022 Succession Politics is Derailing Economic Growth

 

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s public outburst at Kasarani on Sunday was bound to elicit many reactions across the political divide.

In unison to the president’s remarks, former Kiambu governor William Kabogo now calls on leaders to stop the rhetoric succession politics of 2022.

Speaking in an interview, the former states that this is the time for leaders to work together for the betterment of Wanjiku and not for their selfish gain.

“The question of who will succeed who shouldn’t rise at this stage, let them embrace the spirit of hard work and serve Kenyans who got them to power, ‘he said.

Kabogo claimed that the current type of politics is tribal and is aimed to divide the Country adding that Kenyans are tired of political rallies on every corner of the Country.

“You know Kenyans are tired, it very irritating to dwell on one debate, what Kenyans need for now is projects and empowerment, the 2022 leader will be given by God,” Kabogo said.

He states that the leaders should fully focus on the economic growth by spending most of their time with the constituents and address problems rather than politicking on every corner.

President Uhuru Kenyatta rubbished Deputy President William Ruto’s Tangatanga squad on Sunday as “criminals” busy politicking instead of focusing on development.

“You were elected because of me and thus you should seize from intimidating me, let that time comes, I will get you out from hideouts, “he said.
