Hon Duale, Garissa Town MP , predicted that the referendum proposal will receive a majority back up from the National Assembly after being approved by the County Assemblies.

Duale’s sentiments angered the Women Representatives who claimed that Hon Duale has been constantly undermining their role in the National Assembly.

Lamu Women Rep Mohammed Obbo accused Hon Duale of abusing their position in and outside of the Parliament. Hon Mohammed Obbo thus called on Duale to show respect to the Women Representatives.
