Nairobi Stima’s KPL promotion is at the mercy of Posta Rangers

Third-placed Nairobi Stima FC who finished the National Super League NSL with equal 80 points with Kisumu All-Stars will have to wait for some time to know their fate of promotion to the higher tier as they face Posta Rangers.

Stima will have themselves to blame for failing to qualify after they lost the grip and control in the dying minutes of the ending of the season where they had sat at position two for the better proof the season.

With Wazito who had been the league leaders for the better part of the season having been promoted to the Kenya Premier League and Kisumu All-Stars, the next on target remains to be the Power men who will now face the third bottom in the Kenya Premier League who were lucky to be demoted, Posta Rangers.

The two promoted sides Wazito and Kisumu All-Stars edged out their rivals of the day St. Joseph and Thika United who are former Gor Mahia playmaker’s Francis Kahata side, Thika United in their last National Super League match with a massive 7-1 margins which are a score that rarely happens in the local league showing the guts the boys are coming with.

The Posta men were lucky to have been spared in their relegation threats after finishing in the third bottom position after a six points gap away from Vihiga United and MountKenya United who were long dropped.

With such results being registered, it means the Posta boys will have to face off with Stima for a decider of who moves to the main League.

Nairobi Stima has been in the top tier before but their good run and performance could play a major boost in beating the Posta Rangers men who have been in the League for a while.

The first leg of the clash between the two sides will be played on the 15th June while the second leg will be stage four days later to determine who plays in the mother League.
