Panic gripped a Nyamira County family who found the dead body of their son at a school pit latrine.
The 17-year-old boy had been missing for two weeks, causing outrage among his loved ones.
To their shock however, the boy’s body was retrieved on Tuesday, dumped in a pit latrine at St Don Bosco School.

At the same time, in neighbouring Kisii County misfortune befell a home on Monday as a man was killed upon electrocution.
This occurred in Nyanuguti Village when a man who was harvesting nappier grass for his cows when he accidentally stepped on a live wire from an illegal connection.
The man died on the spot, as the owner of the illegal connection is said to have rushed to the crime scene and disconnected his wires.
Police however found pieces of charred wires, leading to the conclusion that the man was electrocuted. What’s more, the suspect fled the area after police were called.
