In a rather surprising occurrence, Police in Eldoret were shocked after distraught relatives noticed mysterious people walking around the grave of Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago’s brother after he was buried Sunday.

The man, Johana Kinyor Kirwa died in strange circumstances in what has sent police to cast their nets wide.

Kinyor’s body was discovered in an uncomplete building in Chepkanga by a worker who is said to have been looking for a watering can.

Initial reports indicated that police were informed of the missing Kinyor, and had arrested persons of interest in the suspected murder case.

However, on reviewing the CCTV footage in the Hotel where Kinyor died, the clips showed him to have slipped and fallen into a lift lobby which was still under construction.

During his burial Sunday, Kinyor was eulogized as a self-made man and an astute businessman, but it did not take long thereafter before six men were spotted lingering on his graveyard.

Immediately after an alert was communicated, police are said to have rushed to the graveyard where they came face-to-face with the six.

Shocked, the police were surprised the six men did not make any attempts to flee the graveyard even after the cops barked orders.

The six would later be forced out of the grave by the police officers and detained at a local police station.

The men identified as Emmanuel Kiplimo, Moses Karanja, John Wafula, Kennedy Wafula, Derrick Olumbe and Oliver Namayi were found behaving suspiciously at Kinyor’s grave at 3am in what police termed as trespass.

Appearing before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa, the six’s case was heard, with the police investigator requesting for more days to conclude investigations.

The magistrate would grant the investigator the time, sending the six into custody awaiting the case hearing slated for June 7.
