ODM party through its delegates had earlier voted in March for Ms Jumwa to be removed from the party led by the former prime minister Raila Odinga over her support for Deputy President William Ruto and his bid for the presidency come 2022.

The court, however, canceled the disciplinary proceedings which led to her removal giving the Kilifi mp a much-needed relief as she concentrated on her support for William Ruto.

The four legislatures said the decision made by the court is a lesson to leaders fond of frustrating others with petty issues and told ODM to leave Ms. Jumwa alone to serve her constituents.

Mr. Baya while hailing the ruling, observed that justice had finally been served for Ms. Jumwa whose constitutional rights were being violated for extending the spirit of the handshake to the Deputy President William Ruto.

On Friday, three members of the PPDT ruled that the proceedings the party’s disciplinary committee held on October 19, 2018, were improperly constituted, so the report was invalid and lacked effect in law.

Aisha Jumwa through her lawyer Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Murkomen had protested the move by ODM party terming it in appropriate as far as the spirit of the handshake was concerned.

“The tribunal’s decision has also vindicated me since I had been blamed for criticizing the expulsion despite being a member of the (ODM) national executive council. I had told off the ODM party against unjustly contravening the constitutional rights of Ms Jumwa from the word go,” he said.

Deputy President William Ruto had earlier on accused Raila of political deceit, trying to create a rift in Jubilee Party and arbitrarily expelling members from ODM.

Ruto maintained that the whole nation will stand with Aisha Jumwa to make sure she will not be mistreated. He added that no politician needs permission to interact with any leader in the country.

Jumwa has so far maintained that she will stand with William Ruto and that no amount of intimidations will stop her from the same. She has so far declared that she will be running for the governorship position in 2022.
