The same sentiments have been shared by Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo who has faulted the role out of the currency notes.
Otiende Amollo: The major issue is the image of the new notes; Article 231 is very clear and does not allow anyone’s portrait on the face of the notes or coins.

The Deputy President William Ruto allies also commented on the facing out of the new Ksh 1000 notes reading malice.
The Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa said in order to fast track acquisition of money stashed in people’s houses, the deadline should be moved to July 1.
He argued that the October deadline is quite far, adding that the money should be released to develop the economy.
