Jose Antonio Reyes is a name that will forever resonate in Arsenal’s history for decades, even centuries to come. Indeed, Reyes was a prolific striker that dazzled many a fans at Highbury.
Reyes, though not the most intimidating of forwards, was famous for his sublime passes, break-neck speed, and curling abilities that enabled him to finesse even the most ludicrous shots at the tightest of angles.
What made Reyes such a sensation in his two-year-spell at Arsenal is that he managed to link up so well with the likes of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vierra.
Ask any Arsenal fan out there and they will tell you that this season was one of the most enjoyable they ever watched.
In fact, the likes of Reyes served as inspiration for up and coming Arsenal players such as Fabregas and Van Persie.
Additionally, Reyes managed to have successful spells in Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid after moving on from Arsenal.
Unfortunately, he passed away on June 1st, 2019 in a car crash.
