How Waititu Protected Raila From Kiambu Goons

I don’t need your permission to come to Kiambu, Raila tells off DP Ruto ally Gov Waititu

African Union envoy on infrastructure Raila Odinga on Friday found self under the rock after Kiambu holigans associated with tanga tanga squad almost turned against him during the Tatu city event.

Early this year, Governor Waititu delayed approval of the construction of houses, demanding 10 percent of land for the county government.

“We will not surrender 10 percent of our land to the county government. There is no legal requirement that requires us to do that,” the company through Nick Longfield said when opposing the move.

Kiambu governor who also graced the event had to assure Raila that he ought to feel at home and should not worry of anything.

Waititu who is Ruto’s point man in  Kiambu and mount Kenya region has been on the record abusing Raila in every rally they attend.

Waititu has been accusing Odinga of working behind the DP to frustrate his presidential bid 2022.

Over sometime Waititu accused Raila over his woes where he accused him(Odinga) of planning of his arrest and humiliation.

Waititu has been accused of misappropriation of public fund for his personal development.

While addressing a congregation in Kiambu Waititu urged locals not to be closing eyes when Raila is around as he isn’t trustworthy.

“Huyu jamaa mimi namjua ni mkola akikuja hapa apana funga macho,’Waititu said.

In response, Odinga told Waititu off that he needs no one protection to visit any corner in Kenya.

“I need nobody’s permission to come here. I can go to any part of Kenya without seeking anybody’s permission least of all the permission of a governor…” Raila remarked.

“Every Kenyan has a right to live and invest anywhere in this country. These are constitutional rights. As Uhuru said, nobody steals on behalf of his community, if Uhuru steals that’s him and not Kikuyus. If Raila steals, it is not the Luo community that has stolen.”

“Waititu, you should not be intimidated and blackmailed. We won’t be cowed on such threats if we want to fight and eliminate corruption but we must remain steadfast and take the looters to jail where they deserve,” Odinga stated.
