Kenyans demanded answers why the national prayers were held at Safari park hotel yet the name meant it was a national issue that neede all Kenyans of all walks.

According to some Kenyans, politicians are quick to call voters at Uhuru park in the scorching sun but once elected, they stage meetings in closed doors without the invite of poor Kenyans.

The Dawn of a new Kenya cannot be achieved when politicians lock themselves indoors and discuss national issues without the input of their own voters. The meetings are characterized by people with ongoing court cases on corruption in their respective positions.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto led Members of Parliament and other leaders in a National Prayer Breakfast meeting on Thursday morning but during the meeting which was supposed to be a meeting to seek God, turned to be political ground for politicians to renew their rivalry.

At a point, DP Ruto joked about Raila’s retirement when he joked with delegates in the meeting.

The leaders made key statements touching on various issues, including the war against corruption which has lately become President Kenyatta’s pet subject.

ACK Reverend Peter Karanja appealed to Kenyans to pray for the country.

“Well, no matter how big this gathering at Safari Park is on this national prayer breakfast, only a small number of Kenyans can be here. Mine to appeal to them to adopt a mode of prayer and take time to pray for Kenya and our leaders,” he stated
