Harambee Stars head coach Sebastian Migne says he decided to drop Kakamega Homeboyz Striker Allan Wanga since he was not impressive in training.
Wanga who is one of the most decorated players in Kenya having won the league and the FKF Shield twice was dropped from Harambee Stars squad set for France trip meaning he is out the AFCON squad.
The forward has been in a fine form this season having scored 18 goals in the 34 matches of the league. The coach, however, opted to travel with Avire John who has seven goals in the league.
The Frenchman believes Avire showed more reasons to be picked as compared to Wanga.
βThe last 10 days we have been in training and Allan Wanga just dropped off and was not impressive. He did not show me the reason why he deserves to be in the squad compared to John Avire of Sofapaka, who showed tremendous skills and form.β Migne is quoted by Goal.
