President Uhuru Kenyatta has today led the country in the 7th National Prayer Breakfast which brought different political leaders together.
H.E President Salva Kiir Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan, and Deputy President Dr.William Ruto being among the guest for the event.
Other leaders including Chief Justice David Maraga, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka,ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper Leader Musalia Mudavadi also attended the event among other legislatures.

But The Deputy President William Ruto capitalized on the event to send low tackles at Hon Raila Odinga who was held to his AU assignment in Addis Ababa.

DP Ruto in his speech stated that “” A thief may be intelligent but not more than the investigator.” This is a direct attack to Hon Raila Odinga who is implicated in the Fake Gold Scandal.

DP Ruto announced a new dawn of the country emphasizing on the fight against graft. Just recently Dr Ruto attacked Hon Raila Odinga describing him as a wolf hiding in a sheep’s wool.

The new dawn which DP Ruto announced is in line with what President Uhuru Kenyatta has been pushing for the longest time possible with the help of Hon Raila Odinga.

But in a direct attack to Hon Raila, Dr William Ruto responding to Dr. Michael Hastings stated that Baba will not get the post of the Prime Minister Anytime soon. Dr Hastings had requested the state to consider introducing that post.

On Raila confession that he whistle-blowed on the fake gold scandal, DP Ruto quoted the Ten Commandments;
“The 10 commandments say – Do not steal…Do not bear false testimony. The President and I were once victims of false testimony.It took hand of God and prayer for us to get out. We do not want any Kenyan to suffer such again,” stated DP Ruto.

However Ruto has cried foul of being judged harshly on his numerous church meetings stating that he cannot run from the church considering what it has done to him.

The National Prayer Breakfast its main objective is to make the nation reflect on positivity attributes that build the nation.
