Neymar Jr. injury curse comes calling ahead of Copa America

PSG’s and Brazil star, Neymar Jr has continued to record a woeful season having spent the better part of the season out of the field after picking up an injury. The injuries are back to him once again as he went from bad to worse after he limped out of Brazil training grabbing his knee.

The Paris Saint-Germain star has been training with the Samba Boys ahead of the Copa America, which starts on June 15 but after taking a shot the 27-year-old grabbed his left leg, writhing in pain and was walked off the pitch by medical staff in Teresopolis and spent a few moments slumped over an advertising board.

The 26-year-old world record £198million man has sensationally been stripped of the captain’s armband, by the manager giving the honour to his teammate Alves, 36, instead.

He will be hoping and praying that he does not have a third tournament nightmare after injury ruled him out of Brazil’s World Cup in 2014 which also followed the forward’s preparations for last summer’s tournament hampering him from taking part.

This season has not been a good one for him either, it has been another injury nightmare for him forcing him to play only five games for PSG before being suspended for their final two matches.

His country will play their first opening match against Bolivia in the Copa America that kicks off on June 15 in Sao Paulo.

Reports have indicated that his former boss, Barcelona could try and tempt the man back who left them two years ago by swapping Philippe Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele in part-exchange.

Apparently, its Real Marid who has shown more interest on the forward which he has come out to rubbish saying he is committing his future to PSG after the injury-long season with the Ligue 1 winners.
